The new education policy (NEP) 2020 is introduced with an aim to pave a way to India’s vision for new education system. As we all know that education is fundamental for achieving human potential. Growth of any nation can be possible only through inclusion of all community by providing equitable access to the educational system to rich and poor whether they belong to rural or urban, irrespective to their class and creed. The policy is a comprehensive framework for elementary education to higher education as well as vocational training in both rural and urban India. The New Education Policy (2020) is a historic effort to transform India’s education system. The policy aims at making “India a global knowledge superpower”. Besides that the New Education Policy 2020, puts forward many policy changes when it comes to teachers and teacher education. To become a teacher, a 4-year Bachelor of Education will be the minimum requirement needed by 2030. The teacher recruitment process will also be strengthened and made transparent. It is aimed to ensure that all students at all levels of school education are taught by passionate, motivated, highly qualified, professionally trained, and well equipped teachers. Keeping this in mind, a webinar is arranged for the faculties and students of school & higher educational institutions to understand the implementation of National Education Policy 2020.
