As the world is undergoing an unparalleled crisis due to pandemic COVID -19 that is disrupting the global economy too, each country is working on settling its own economic crisis. At this stage, the Prime Minister of India has announced an INR 20 Lakhs Crore package under the Atma Nirbhar Scheme to help the nation to recover from the severe economic pressure faced due to the pandemic with the hope that this will spur economic growth and build self – reliant and resilient India. To discuss this economic stimulus package, its intellectual underpinnings RDIAS in collaboration with IIF College of Commerce and Management Studies , Affiliated to CCS University.

Objectives

  1. To discuss the ideas of self-reliance, leveraging internal strengths, personal responsibility, and to inculcate a sense of national mission.
  2. To anatomize the financial package of INR twenty lakh crores

Dr.Saurabh Agarwal

Dr.Saurabh Agarwal is a Professor of Accounting and Finance & Principal at the IIF College of Commerce and Management Studies & Associate Editor, Finance India- The Quarterly Journal of Finance, India. Dr. Aggarwal holds PhD degree from Faculty of Management Studies (University of Delhi) . He is an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce (University of Delhi). He is a visiting faculty to Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), The Directorate of Training (UTCS) and University of South Pacific (USP), Fiji.He is a Board Member of several organizations like Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Worker Education and Development (formerly Central Board for Workers Education), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India;The Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM); Federation of Industry,Trade and Services (FITS) and IIF CCMS, Affiliated to CCS University. Professor is a keen researcher and has Nineteen refereed research publications, three chapters in Edited books, two research monographs, nine newspaper articles and forty two book reviews to his credit.He has been awarded Accredited Management Teacher (AMT) by All India Management Association (AIMA) and Best Research Paper Award by Indian Institute of Management (IIM Ahmedabad) in 2010.He is member of the Professor’s Forum of India,India and Indian Econometric Association, India.He has been invited for more than sixty-fivepanel discussions at leading news channels like Zee News, Prime News, Total TV, India News, AajTak to name a few. He has attended nine international seminars including OECD Climate Summit(2007 and 2008) and ADB Board of Governors Meeting (2006, 2007 & 2014) and ninety-nine National Seminars/Meetings/Workshops. Dr.Aggarwal has guided sixty-eight MBF Dissertations and twelve international executive MBA dissertations.

Dr. Urvashi Sharma is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department ofCommerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Dr. Urvashi Sharma has completed her Ph.D from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur (Rajasthan). She pursued her B.Com(Hons.) and M.Com from the same University. She also holds degree of MBA, havingspecialization in Human Resource Management. Having 19 years of teaching experience, she hasalso worked in the capacity of Head of the Department (BBA) in GGSIP University Colleges.She also has the experience in teaching in NCT, Sultanateof Oman. Dr. Urvashi Sharma has several publications in area of Human Resource management and Organizational Behavior and Corporate Governance. She hasorganized many International Conferences and Seminars at the University and College level. She is NCC ‘C’ Certificate holder inarmy wing and also been the Editor of Journals of the colleges of GGSIP University. She is a life member of‘Indian Journal of Commerce’ and ‘Indian Accounting Association’.
