Event Objective

  • To give a creative platform for students to exhibit social and cultural aspects of life towards enhancing the overall development.
  • To provide an opportunity to students to explore their creative and organizational skills that will manifest in their professional and personal life. 
  • To promote competitive spirit and teamwork among the students.

Event Schedule

GENERAL GUIDELINES (Applicable to All Events):

  1. Participation is open to all Undergraduate and Postgraduate students from any discipline (Age limit: 17 yrs. – 23 yrs).
  2. All participants must complete their registration on events.rdias.ac.in (RDIAS Eshaala portal) by 28th March, 2026. No registration fee is applicable for any event.
  3. Participants are required to strictly adhere to the time limits specified for each event. Exceeding the allotted time may result in negative marking or disqualification.
  4. Decency and decorum must be maintained at all times with respect to content, costumes, gestures, language, and overall presentation. Any form of vulgarity, nudity, abusive, discriminatory, or objectionable content shall lead to disqualification.
  5. Participants must arrange their own costumes, props, instruments, materials, and equipment unless stated otherwise.
  6. Submission of music tracks, videos, write-ups, or any other required material must be done within the stipulated deadlines.
  7. Any form of plagiarism, copying, or use of unfair means shall result in immediate disqualification.
  8. Participants are advised to report at the venue well in advance (1 hour before), as specified for the respective events.
  9. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding in all matters.
  10. The organizing Committee reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel any event at any stage, if deemed necessary.
  11. The Institute shall not be responsible for any loss of personal belongings or incidental expenses incurred by participants.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PRELIMINARY ROUNDS (Applicable to All Events)

  1. Preliminary rounds shall be conducted only if required, depending upon the number of registrations received for an event.
  2. The preliminary rounds, wherever applicable, will be held between April 2–4, 2026.
  3. Participation in prelims is mandatory for shortlisted events where prelims are conducted.
  4. Participants may be required to submit performance videos/photographs/write-ups/other relevant material as specified for the respective event by 1st April, 2026 on Razzmatazz@rdias.ac.in.
  5. All submissions for prelims must be original, self-created, and strictly adhere to the event-specific rules.
  6. Submitted videos or entries must clearly mention the participant’s Name, Enrollment Number, Course, College, and Contact Details.
  7. The duration and format of submissions for prelims shall be as communicated by the respective Razzmatazz team.
  8. Any late, incomplete, or non-compliant submission shall not be considered for evaluation.
  9. The evaluation and shortlisting for prelims shall be carried out by the Razzmatazz team.
  10. The decision of the selection committee for preliminary rounds shall be final and binding.
  11. Shortlisted participants/teams will be informed through Email by April 7, 2026.
  12. External participants, if shortlisted, must be physically present for the main event unless stated otherwise.

Solo Dance (Embodying Grace)

Display your individual brilliance; be the star of the stage—it’s all yours. The stage gives you the chance to flaunt your best moves and elegance. This is your chance to free yourself and express yourself the best.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Solo performance.
  • Time Limit: 4–6 minutes.
  • Participants must bring their own music tracks (two alternates) on a pen drive.
  • All dance entries must include the event name, participant’s Name, Enrollment Number, Course, College, and Contact Details. Background music must be submitted in advance via email at Razzmatazz@rdias.ac.in by April 6, 2026. Non-compliance with these requirements will lead to disqualification.
  • Costumes and props (if any) must be arranged by the participant.
  • A green room will be provided if required.
  • There will be three winners: first, second, and third.

Solo Singing (Voice of One)

Solo Singing Competition, an exciting opportunity for you all to show off your soulful voice and incredible singing skills. So come on, let’s start singing.

Specific Guidelines:

 

  • Individual participation with one accompanist (if any).
  • Maximum Duration: 6 + 2 minutes.
  • Songs may be in Hindi, English, or Punjabi.
  • Musical instruments must be arranged by participants.
  • There will be three winners: first, second, and third.

Judgement Criteria:

  • Diction
  • Voice Quality
  • Stage Presence
  • Intonation

Band performance (Voices of the Wind)

Do you think you have what it takes to get the crowd shouting after your performance? If yes, then this is the perfect opportunity for all you aspiring Bands out there.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Band Size: Minimum 3 and Maximum 6 members.
  • Maximum Performance Time: 6 + 2 minutes.
  • Background music must include the participant’s Name, Enrollment Number, Course, College, and Contact Details. It must be submitted in advance via email at Razzmatazz@rdias.ac.in by April 6, 2026. Non-compliance with these requirements will lead to disqualification.
  • Use of abusive or disrespectful language is strictly prohibited.
  • There will be two winners: first and second

Duet Dance (Synchrony)

Two is the best company. Choose the most compatible partner and deliver a powerhouse performance with the best chemistry.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Team Size: 2 participants.
  • Time Limit: 6–8 minutes.
  • All dance entries must include event name, participant’s Name, Enrollment Number, Course, College, and Contact Details. Background music must be submitted in advance via email at Razzmatazz@rdias.ac.in by April 6, 2026. Non-compliance with these requirements will lead to disqualification.
  • Props must be informed to the coordinators beforehand.
  • Use of fire, candles, cigarettes, or any derogatory acts on stage is strictly prohibited.
  • There will be two winners: first and second.

Newspaper Dress making Competition (ArtWave Extravaganza)

Theme: Reimagining Recyclables.

Get ready to transform the ordinary into extraordinary with our Newspaper Dress Making Competition! This unique event combines creativity, sustainability, and fashion flair, challenging participants to craft stunning garments entirely from newspapers.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Solo Event.
  • Duration: 2 Hours.
  • Dresses must be created entirely on the spot using newspapers as the primary material.
  • No pre-made or semi-finished items are permitted.
  • Mobile phones and internet access are strictly prohibited during the competition.
  • There will be three winners: First, second, and third.

Photography Exhibition (Framing the World)

Photography Exhibition Competition, an exciting opportunity for both amateur and professional photographers to showcase their creativity, technical skill, and unique perspectives. This competition aims to bring together photographers from various backgrounds to celebrate the art of visual storytelling through the lens.

Theme and Categories
 
Participants are encouraged to submit photographs that creatively interpret the central theme, “Framing the World”, by capturing stories, emotions, realities, and perspectives of the world around them.

Submissions may fall under the following categories:

  • Nature and Wildlife
  • Portrait Photography
  • Street Photography
  • Fine Art Photography
  • Documentary Photography
  • Experimental Photography

Specific Guidelines:

  • Individual participation.
  • Submission of 3–5 original photographs.
  • Digital submission in JPEG/TIFF format (300 dpi; maximum 10 MB per image).
  • No watermark is permitted.
  • Photographs must be submitted on Razzmatazz@rdias.ac.in by April 6, 2026 including participant’s Name, Enrollment Number, Course, College, and Contact Details.
  • Framing of selected photographs is mandatory.
  • There will be three winners: First, second, and third.

Group Dance (Rhythm in Unity)

Dancing is one of the best ways to express your feelings and is the truest form of expression. Let’s join hands to bring passions, feelings, and style together. Share the energy of your groups on stage through theme-based or non-theme-based choreography.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Team Size: Minimum 5 and Maximum 20
  • Time Limit: 6–10 minutes.
  • All dance entries must include event name, participant’s Name, Enrollment Number, Course, College, and Contact Details. Background music must be submitted in advance via email at Razzmatazz@rdias.ac.in by April 6, 2026. Non-compliance with these requirements will lead to disqualification.
  • No replacement of team members shall be allowed at the last moment.
  • There will be two winners: First and second.

Open Mic (ExtraVaganza)

The Open Mic Extravaganza (Spoken Dreams) is a dynamic platform for individuals to express their creativity and share their talents. This event encourages participants to explore the art of spoken expression, whether through poetry, storytelling, stand-up comedy, or spoken word performances. It’s a celebration of voices, ideas, and emotions brought to life on stage. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a first-timer, this event is your chance to shine.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Individual participation only.
  • Time Limit: 6–10 minutes.
  • Content must be original and free from offensive or objectionable language.
  • Performances can include poetry, storytelling, stand-up comedy, or spoken word.
  • There will be three winners: First, second, and third.

Judgement Criteria:

  • Creativity
  • Emotional Impact
  • Stage Presence

Fashion Show (Walk the Line)

You enjoy impersonating your favourite models. Now, you have the chance to be the one! Walk up the ramp with your attitude, the best-designed outfits, and the best music. Participate in this event and experience the red carpet treatment.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Team Size: 6–15 members.
  • Performance Duration: 10–15 minutes.
  • Music track must include event name, participant’s Name, Enrollment Number, Course, College, and Contact Details. Background music must be submitted in advance via email at Razzmatazz@rdias.ac.in by April 6, 2026. Non-compliance with these requirements will lead to disqualification.
  • First and second position will be awarded.
  • Participants also have a chance to win in three categories, i.e., best dressed (male and female); best walk (male and female); and best model (male and female).
  • Theme: Unity in Diversity (Focused on Different cultures, states, or countries)

Mr. & Ms. Razzmatazz

Specific Guidelines:

  • The event will be conducted in multiple rounds including Introduction, Talent Round, and Question–Answer Round.
  • Music must be submitted on Razzmatazz@rdias.ac.in on or before April 6, 2026.
  • Participants will be judged on Mr.and Ms. Razzmatazz and Mr. and Ms. Unique Talent (one male and one female) for both.

Round 1: Introduction and Ramp Walk (25 minutes)

  • Each participant will have one minute to introduce themselves.(Negative points for exceeding the time limit.)
  • Total number of participants: 20 (10 girls and 10 boys).
  • Elimination – 04

Round 2: The Talent Round (50 minutes)

  • In this, each participant will have 3–4 minutes to show their talent. (Negative points for exceeding the time limit.)
  • Total number of participants: 16 (8 girls and 8 boys).
  • Elimination: 04
  • 4 minutes (Buzzer) time limit

Round 3: Question-Answer Round (15 minutes)

  • Each participant will have one minute to respond to the questions posed by the judges. (Negative points for exceeding the time limit.)
  • Total number of participants: 12 (6 girls and 6 boys).

Dark room- on the spot photography Competition (Film in the Shadows)

Dark Room – Film in the Shadows is an on-the-spot photography competition designed to test the participants’ creativity, technical skills, and visual storytelling abilities under controlled conditions. Participants are required to conceptualize, capture, and present photographs within the given time frame.The competition emphasizes originality, composition, lighting, and interpretation of the theme.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Team Size: 2–4 members.
  • Duration: 2 Hours.
  • Photography must be done on the spot within the allotted room and theme.
  • Participants will be given a room and a certain time to click photographs inside that room.
  • There will be two winners: First and second.

  • Design, Quality

Sketching (Lines & Shades)

Discover the power of Sketching, where simple lines transform into powerful expressions of imagination and emotion. This event encourages participants to explore creativity through freehand drawing, capturing ideas, moods, and stories using pencils, charcoal, or pens. Each sketch becomes a reflection of perspective, originality, and artistic vision.

Specific Guidelines:

  • Solo Event.
  • Duration: 1.5 Hours.
  • No reference materials are permitted.
  • Participants must bring their own sketching materials.
  • There will be three winners: First, second, and third.
