Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies is organizing Gyanotsav 2021: Management Fest on February 26-27’ 2021. Be a part of this two day management fest and ‘Create You Niche’ Workshop on how to create your resume and crack Interview. Battle it out against each other and prove your mettle.

Management Competition - Rs. 150/- Per Day
Workshop Rs. 300/- (Free for students who participate on both days)

The registration fee can only be paid through online mode and link for the same is available in registration form.

Venue: ONLINE. Google Meet

Event Description:  Participants will be given a list of products which are sold in urban areas. Participants will be required to create a sales pitch to educate and convince the rural people to buy the products.

Participation: Individual

RULES:

The participants will be given a product randomly like Coffee tumblers, Bobble Head, Desk Organizers, Bluetooth speakers etc., which are not commonly used by rural population will be given to the participants.

Participants will be given 15 minutes to prepare and mail the speech on a separate email id.

Post receiving the PPT, participants will be called one by one to present their sales pitch.      Students’ camera shall remain ‘ON’ throughout their presentation.

 The time frame to mail the speech needs to be followed strictly.

 Use of foul language will lead to negative marking.

Crossword

DAY : FEBRUARY 26’2021, FRIDAY

TIME: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM (1 hour 30 minutes)

Description:  Crossword will have questions related to finance domain

Participation: Individual

RULE:

Registration link will be sent to participants prior to the one day of event. 

A crossword will be shown to the participants on screen along with the questions at the time of the event.

Simultaneously, a google form will also be shared with the students where they will fill the answers of the crossword.

If required, student coordinator(s) can speak the questions also.

Students have to submit answers within the requisite time.

Evaluation will be done for answers received and winners will be selected.

Nonetheless, if there is any tie, another crossword will be shown to the students to identify the clear winners.

Students will have to keep the video cameras on throughout the event.

Judgement Parameter: Top Three with Right answers.

HR Concoct

DAY : FEBRUARY 26’2021, FRIDAY

TIME: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (1 hour)

Description: Participants will be given 1 company designation each on the spot for which they will be required to design the job description, compensation plan and other essentials to attract a mass of candidates towards their company. Submission format will be PowerPoint

Participation: Individual

RULES:

Participants will be given a company designation related to which they have craft a job description with compensation plan and other benefits.

The components to be covered in the JD and compensation plan will be given to the participants.

Participants will be given 15 minutes to draft a ppt for the same.

The best 3 will be chosen and declared winners.

Students will be judged on the following parameters – Creativity/novelty, Content, Presentation skills and Communication skills.

Student’s camera shall remain ‘ON’ while preparing the JD and compensation ppt.

TIME: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (2 hours)

Each participant is given a unique scenario to negotiate with a counterpart

Participation: Individual

RULES:

This  competition has two rounds.

Preliminary Round: Each participant is given a unique scenario to negotiate. Total 5 minutes to think and answer. Academician will be judging the best negotiation.

Final Round: Top 3 scorers from Preliminary round. Participants will be given a situation on the spot. Total 5 minutes to think and answer. Industry Expert will be judging the best negotiation.

Students will have to keep the video cameras on throughout the event.

In case of any conflict, decision of the organizing team would be final and binding.

Judgement Parameters: Best deal of negotiation.

Speak Visually: Infographic Designing Competition

DAY : FEBRUARY 27’2021, SATURDAY

TIME: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM (1 hour and 30 minutes)

Description:  Participants will be given 6 companies in advance. Participants can select one company of their own choice and should analyse the Marketing strategy, Financial implications and HR processes in that company which can be depicted in the form of infographic. Infographic has to be submitted at least 6 days prior to competition. On the day of competition winner on the basis of justification will be declared

 

Participation: Individual

RULES:

A list of 6 companies will be shared with participants.

Participants can select one company of their own choice and should analyse the Marketing strategy, financial implications and HR processes in that company which can be depicted in the form of info graphic /collage.

Participants will be required to prepare the presentation on infographic prepared.

Source of data collected is mandate to be specified.

Recent data should be collected.

Format of Submission – PNG or JPEG is acceptable.

Submissions of ppt have to be emailed at gyanotsav@rdais.ac.in latest by February 24’2021.

Further infographic of the winning participants would be shared on Facebook and Instagram page of RDIAS.

Infographic of winners will be shared on LinkedIn page of Clubs.

Judgement Parameters

  1. Creative use of graphics and overall visual appeal.
  2. Well research content on the company chosen(Recent Data)
  3. Coverage of financial, Marketing and HR Aspects of Company.
  4. Analysis content(Figures, Graphs, Reasoning, Charts)
  5. Ease of Interpretation.

Description: Each participant will be given 1 situation related to any concept of Finance on the spot for which they will be required to provide an appropriate solution.

Participation: Individual

RULES:

Each Participant will be given 1 situation on the spot related to a Financial Concept to check financial knowledge.

Five minutes in all to think and answer.

Industry Expert will be judging the best concept explained.

Participants shall keep their video camera ON and mic OFF during the activity.

Judgment Parameters:  Knowledge in finance, Presentation Skills and Communication Skills.

Description:  “Synergize To-Get-HR” activity – viz. “Insights- Happy Employees make great organizations” – based on Fundamental analysis of issues related to People in Organizations, with respect to Culture, Performance enhancement, Training and Compliance, Discipline and Outsourcing where students will present the company following Best HR policies

 Participation: Individual

 RULES:

Participants will pick up company from diversified sectors which are enlisted in Great Place to Work list and established the relationship with the people and the companies’ work culture and environment what makes them rated best places to work.

On those companie with the help of PPT presentation participants have to justify why that company is considered to be the best place to work in terms of Culture, Performance enhancement, Training and Compliance, Discipline and Outsourcing.

Participants have to be ready with their presentation at the time of event.

 

Students’ camera shall remain ‘ON’ throughout.

 

Judgement Parameters (if any): presentation skills, communication, analysis of the data, incorporation of new policies of company and query handling
