Event Objective

  • To promote ethnicity amongst students by organising and conducting various events.
  • To motivate each student to develop their academic potential and abilities.
  • To provide opportunities to build exemplary confidence among the student fraternity.

Event Schedule

General Rules

  • Please do not carry sharp objects, inflammable objects, or any other objects that might be potentially dangerous.
  • Please do not carry or consume any intoxicants, liquor, any narcotics, drugs, cigarettes, or additives of any sort. Smoking is strictly prohibited in campus.
  • If a participant is found violating any of these rules, it would lead to the disqualification of the participant, who would also be required to leave the premises immediately.
  • Any sort of profanity or obscenity in any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Any misbehaviour on the part of the participants and visitors will lead to expulsion from the premises and will reflect on their college.
  • Anything that can be perceived as being offensive to any national and/or religious sentiments, gender, caste, race, etc. will lead to immediate disqualification.

Solo Dance (Embodying Grace)

Display your individual brilliance; be the star of the stage—it’s all yours. The stage gives you the chance to flaunt your best moves and elegance. This is your chance to free yourself and express yourself the best.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Participants are required to get themselves registered online, and there is no registration fee for participation in the event.
  • Time limit – 4-6 minutes. Negative points for exceeding the time limit
  • Participants should bring their own songs in a pen drive, their own costumes, related materials and props (if any).
  • To avoid technical disruption, participants must bring two alternates of each song. Out of which they are required to submit their song to the coordinator before February 12, 2025.
  • Decency should be maintained in terms of song selection, gestures, dress and no vulgarity or nudity should be reflected in the performances.
  • The top 3 winners will be announced as First, Second and Third.
  • Strict discipline should be maintained, and the decision of the judges will be final.
  • A green room will be provided if needed.
  • The organisers have the right to remove and/or modify any event at any stage if required.
  • Judgement Criteria: Choreography , Facial Expressions, Body Language, Costume and presentation 

Prelims:

  • In case of large numbers of registrations, preliminary rounds for external and internal participants will be organised to select the best performances.
  • All internal and external participants shall email their video of 4-5 minutes to the respective coordinator’s email address.
  • The concerned faculties will be doing the selection process for the best one.
  • The final date for the preliminary round will be communicated to participants by the faculty in-charge 

Solo Singing (Voice of One)

Solo Singing Competition, an exciting opportunity for you all to show off your soulful voice and incredible singing skills. So come on, let’s start singing.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Participants are required to get themselves registered on the website, and there is no registration fee for participation in any event.
  • Team Size: 1 member and 1 pianist only (if any).
  • Certificates will be provided to the accompanists (if any).
  • The duration is a maximum of 6 + 2 minutes per song. Negative points for exceeding the time limit
  • Students may select a song from either the Hindi, English, or Punjabi languages.
  • Musical instruments (if required) will not be provided by the college; participants are required to arrange them themselves.
  • Decency should be maintained as far as the choice of song, gestures, dresses, etc. No vulgarity or nudity should be reflected in the performances.
  • There will be three winners: first, second, and third.
  • The decision of the judges will be considered as final and abiding.
  • The organisers have the right to remove and/or modify any event at any stage if required.
  • Participants are asked to arrive one hour before the event begins.
  • Judgement Criteria: Diction, Voice Quality, Stage Presence and Intonation

Prelims:

  • If there are a large number of registrations, preliminary rounds for external and internal participants will be organised to shortlist the best performances for subsequent rounds.
  • Both internal and external teams must email their 3-4 minute song video to the faculty in charge’s email address.
  • The best performances will then be chosen by the concerned faculty based on lyric clarity, voice quality, and instrumentation.
  • The final date for the preliminary round will be communicated to participants by the in-charge 

Band performance (Voices of the Wind)

Do you think you have what it takes to get the crowd shouting after your performance? If yes, then this is the perfect opportunity for all you aspiring Bands out there.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Participants are required to get themselves registered on the website, and there is no registration fee for participation in any event.
  • The competition is open to all bands, regardless of genre, but each band must consist of at least three members and max 6 members (vocalists and/or instrumentalists)
  • The duration of the performance is a maximum of 6 + 2 minutes per Band. Negative points for exceeding the time limit
  • Participants are required to arrange their background music. Before February 12, 2025, the music should be brought on a CD or pen drive.
  • Decency should be maintained as far as the choice of song, gestures, etc. Use of abusive or disrespectful words will lead to disqualification.
  • The decision of the judges will be considered final and abiding.
  • The organisers have the right to remove and/or modify any event at any stage if required.
  • There will be two winners: first and second.
  • Judgement Criteria: Musical Talent, Creativity, Originality, Stage Presence and Quality of Performance Quality

Prelims:

  • Bands must email the performance video which they want to perform, along with the lyrics, to the faculty member in charge’s email address.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to the selected participants.
  • The audio and video should not exceed three minutes.

Duet Dance (Synchrony)

Two is the best company. Choose the most compatible partner and deliver a powerhouse performance with the best chemistry.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations:

  • The time limit is 6–8 minutes. Negative points for exceeding the time limit
  • To avoid technical disruption, participants are asked to bring their tracks on a pen drive. In addition; they are required to submit one CD to the event coordinator.
  • No particular theme has to be followed. The participants are free to mould the dance form.
  • Prepare your own props, which must be communicated to the coordinators prior to the competition.
  • Lighting of matchsticks, candles, and cigarettes, or any derogatory acts, are strictly not allowed on stage.
  • Submission of the track in advance before February 12, 2025
  • The decisions of the judges will be final and abiding.
  • There will be three winners: first and second.
  • Participants are asked to arrive 1.5 hours before the event begins.
  • Judgement Criteria: Choreography , Facial Expressions, Body Language, Costumes and Coordination

Prelims:

Newspaper Dress making Competition (ArtWave Extravaganza)

Get ready to transform the ordinary into extraordinary with our Newspaper Dress Making Competition! This unique event combines creativity, sustainability, and fashion flair, challenging participants to craft stunning garments entirely from newspaper.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations

  • Participants must design and construct their dresses entirely during the designated competition time.
  • It will be Solo event
  • Time: 2 hours
  • Pre-made patterns or pre-assembled elements are not permitted. The dress should be a unique creation crafted from scratch.
  • Dresses should be wearable and capable of being modelled on the runway. Attention to fit, comfort, and durability is encouraged.
  • Any additional embellishments must complement the newspaper design and not overshadow it.
  • Participants must rely solely on their imagination, no reference materials are allowed
  • Participants have to bring their own material.
  • No ready or semi-finished dress or matter would be accepted from a participant in the competition.
  • No mobile or Internet access would be permitted during the competition.
  • There will be three winners: First, second, and third.
  • Participants are encouraged to embrace creativity within the bounds of sustainability. The theme for this year’s competition is “Reimagining Recyclables”. Designs should reflect innovative use of materials and a commitment to eco-friendly fashion.
  • The primary material for this competition is the newspaper. Participants are allowed to use other complementary materials such as glue, tape, and basic sewing supplies for assembly. However, the newspaper should be the dominant material in the design.
  • The decision of the judges will be considered final and abiding.
  • Judgement Criteria: creativity, originality, construction, wearability, adherence to the theme and Overall presentation.

Photography Exhibition (Framing the World)

Surprise us by capturing the World, and the prize is all yours.

Welcome to the Photography Exhibition Competition, an exciting opportunity for both amateur and professional photographers to showcase their creativity, technical skill, and unique perspectives. This competition aims to bring together photographers from various backgrounds to celebrate the art of visual storytelling through the lens.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations

  • Participants are required to get themselves registered on the online website as per the schedule given in the notice, and there is no registration fee for participation in any event.
  • It is an individual-based competition.
  • Theme and Categories: Photographers are encouraged to submit images that reflect the competition’s chosen theme (if provided) or simply submit their best works. Categories may include: Nature and Wildlife, Portraits, Street Photography, Fine Art Photography, Documentary Photography and Experimental Photography
  • There should be no watermark on the photograph.
  • Each participant may submit a maximum of 3-5 photographs to the respective faculty coordinator along with their name, Enrolment number, batch, and college phone number, as well as the details of the camera used by the participant (model name or number).
  • Photographs must be original works created by the participant. Use of third-party content or copyrighted materials is strictly prohibited.
  • All submitted photographs must be appropriate for a general audience. Explicit content, including graphic violence or nudity, may result in disqualification
  • Photographs must be submitted digitally via the online portal or email in JPEG or TIFF format, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
  • The file size should not exceed 10 MB per image.
  • Photographers should submit their images with clear titles and descriptions (optional) that reflect the intent or context of the photograph.
  • Deadline for submissions must be strictly adhered to. Late submissions will not be accepted. Last date of submission is February 12,2025
  • Once selected, the photographs must be printed in high quality and ready for display.
  • Framing is mandatory for all submitted prints. Photographs should be framed professionally or mounted in a ready-to-hang format.
  • Photographers may opt to sell their work during the exhibition.
  • The price of each photograph must be clearly marked.
  • Maximum print size (including the frame) should not exceed 36 inches in height and 48 inches in width.
  • Photographers are responsible for any additional display materials (e.g., mounting clips, stands).
  • There will be three winners: First, second, and third.
  • The decision of the judges will be considered as final and abiding.
  • Nothing objectionable, vulgar, or nude should be a part of the pictures, which may lead to disqualifying the participant. 
  • Judgement Criteria: Creativity and Originality, Technical Skill and Composition, Adherence to Theme, Impact and Emotion, Overall Presentation.

Digital enhancements

  • Do not digitally enhance or alter video beyond the basics needed to achieve realistic colour balance, contrast, and sharpness. Removal of sensor dust and other artefacts is acceptable, but if you have digitally added or removed anything else, do not submit the photograph.
  • Adjustments to colour saturation and contrast are allowed. Remember that excessive saturation and contrast adjustments will make photographs look unnatural.

Group Dance (Rhythm in Unity)

Dancing is one of the best ways to express your feelings and is the truest form of expression. Let’s join hands to bring passions, feelings, and style together. Share the energy of your groups on stage through theme-based or non-theme-based choreography.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Participants and teams are required to get themselves registered online on the website, and there is no registration fee for participation in any event.
  • Team Size: minimum 5 and maximum 15 members
  • Time limit of 6–10 minutes. Negative points for exceeding the time limit
  • Submission of the CD or track in advance before February 12, 2025.
  • The institute will not bear any costs like transportation, costumes, anchoring, etc.
  • At the last moment, no member of any group can be changed or replaced.
  • Any member of a group cannot perform for any other group.
  • It is mandatory to stay within the limit of 5–15 participants. Teams exceeding or falling below the number of limits mentioned will be disqualified.
  • No vulgarity should be reflected in the performances.
  • Any team and/or participant found creating a nuisance would be disqualified immediately.
  • The judges’ decision will be considered as final and abiding.
  • There will be two winners: First and second

  • Participants are asked to arrive 1.5 hours before the event begins.

The [Spoken Dreams] is an exciting opportunity for poets to showcase their creative talents. This competition invites individuals to submit their original poems, allowing them to express their ideas, emotions, and visions through the art of poetry. Whether you’re a seasoned poet or an emerging writer, this competition is designed to provide a platform for your voice.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations

  • Participants/Teams are required to get themselves registered online website and there is no registration fee for participation in any event.
  • It is an individual-based competition.
  • Poems must be original works created by the entrant. Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Each participant may submit [one poem] only.
  • Time limit of 6–10 minutes. Negative points for exceeding the time limit
  • Submissions must not contain any form of abusive, discriminatory, or offensive language. This includes but is not limited to hate speech, explicit content, slurs, or language that targets individuals or groups based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, or any other characteristic. Poems containing such language will be disqualified from the competition.
  • The submission should include the poet’s name, contact information, and a brief bio of [50-100 words].
  • There will be three winners: First, second and Third.
  • The decision of the judges will be considered as final and abiding.
  • The organizers have the right to remove, and or modify any event at any stage, if required.
  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any submission that does not comply with the rules or is deemed offensive, inappropriate, or unsuitable for the competition.
  • The organizers are not responsible for any technical issues, errors, or problems that may arise during the submission process.
  • Participants are advised to reach 1 hour before the starting of the event
  • Judgement Criteria: creativity, originality, emotional impact, coherence with theme, and overall quality

Fashion Show (Walk the Line)

You enjoy impersonating your favourite models. Now, you have the chance to be the one! Walk up the ramp with your attitude, the best-designed outfits, and the best music. Participate in this event and experience the red carpet treatment.

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Rules and Regulations

  • Participants and teams are required to get themselves registered online on the website, and there is no registration fee for participation in the event.
  • Team Size: 6–15 members.
  • If the team size exceeds 15 members, that team will be disqualified.
  • A storage room for props will be arranged as needed.
  • Nothing objectionable, vulgar, or nude should be a part of the performance, which may lead to disqualifying the team.
  • At the last moment, no member of any group can be changed or replaced.
  • Any member of a group cannot perform for any other group.
  • Participants should carry their own dresses, materials, etc.
  • Only CDs or pen drives should be submitted for the music.
  • The teams should submit two copies of their music CDs before February 12, 2025.
  • The performance should last about 10-15 minutes. Excessive time will result in negative marking.
  • First and second position will be awarded.
  • Participants also have a chance to win in three categories, i.e., best dressed (male and female); best walk (male and female); and best model (male and female).
  • The decisions of the judges will be considered as final and abiding.
  • The organisers have the right to remove and/or modify any event at any stage if required.
  • All the registered teams need to submit the write-up for the concept which should justify the theme chosen for the event before February 12, 2025.
  • Theme: Eco-Friendly Fashion (Focused on sustainability, showcasing designs made from recycled materials, organic fabrics, and ethical fashion practices, promoting an eco-conscious message.)
  • Judgement Criteria: Creativity, Originality, Justification to theme, Costumes and Presentation

Prelims:

  • If there are a large number of registrations, preliminary rounds for external and internal participants will be organised to shortlist the best performances for subsequent rounds.
  • Both internal and external teams shall mail their performances of 3-4 minutes to the faculty in charge. Email ID

Eligibility criteria:

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

Round 1: Introduction and Ramp Walk (25 minutes)

  • Each participant will have one minute to introduce themselves.(Negative points for exceeding the time limit.)
  • Total number of participants: 20 (10 girls and 10 boys).
  • Elimination – 04

Round 2: The Talent Round (50 minutes)

  • In this, each participant will have 3–4 minutes to show their talent. (Negative points for exceeding the time limit.)
  • Total number of participants: 16 (8 girls and 8 boys).
  • Elimination: 04
  • 4 minutes (Buzzer) time limit

Round 3: Question-Answer Round (15 minutes)

  • Each participant will have one minute to respond to the questions posed by the judges. (Negative points for exceeding the time limit.)
  • Total number of participants: 12 (6 girls and 6 boys).

Prelims:

  • If there are a large number of registrations, a preliminary round for external and internal participants will be held to select the best performances.
  • External participants must send a video of 2-3 minutes demonstrating their talent (dancing, singing, acting, etc.) to the faculty in charge’s email address.
  • The concerned faculty shall then select the best performances based on the set criteria.
  • The final date for the preliminary round will be communicated to participants by the faculty in-charge.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Participants are required to get themselves registered online, and there is no registration fee for participation in the event.
  • Participants should carry their own dresses, materials, etc.
  • No vulgarity should be reflected in the performance.
  • Pen drives or CDs should be submitted for the music.
  • The participants should submit two copies of their music before February 12, 2025.
  • Participants will be judged on Mr.and Ms. Razzmatazz and Mr. and Ms. Unique Talent (one male and one female) for both.
  • The decisions of the judges will be considered as final and abiding.
  • External participants must be physically present on the day of the preliminary round.

Dark room- on the spot photography Competition (Film in the Shadows)

  • Participants have to do on the spot photography on the theme given to them.
  • Participants will be given a room and a certain time to click photographs inside that room.
  • All the teams must carry their own props and equipment.
  • Decency should be maintained.
  • There will be two winners: first and second.
  • The decision of the judges will be considered as final and abiding.
  • The organisers have the right to remove and/or modify any event at any stage if required.
  • Participants are asked to arrive one hour before the event begins.
